Start date for the game

for all who are involved in this Advanced project..... Larry has said that he is choosing for december 7th 1941 as the most likely start date for the game. EDIT: early '42 ;) Personally, a year ago I agreed with this. But now, a year later, I am thinking it might be better to set the start date a bi...

In response concerning artillery: Flashman wrote: Artilley firing into an adjacent territory is realistic, as long as you picture the units being massed on the border. Most big battles of the period began with large artillery bombardments, and I simply don't see these units moving forward with the a...

IL, shouldn't it be like this?

Turn Sequence:

1. Develop weapons
2. Purchase units
3. Collect income
5. Combat Movement
6. Combat
7. Non-Combat movement
8. Place newly purchased units

My input for your questionaire: 1. Map Projection b. Heavily distorted, with large Europe etc. I think the europe and asian areas, where the "axis hemisphere" is located, should be blown up to get the proper size for more territories, and territories less used should be shrinked. But I still think d...

Now a year later, I now favor a map that is capable of starting at multiple dates. The ones I favor are as follows: - sept 1939 pre-poland invasion - spring 1941 pre-barbarossa, after Balkan offense - dec 7 th 1941 pre-Pearl Harbor With each having a different setup and specific rules (example rule ...
