Inaccuracies in eastern Soviet territories/Soviet Union and the Pacific 1940/Global 1940 map

I noticed that there are inaccuracies with the eastern territories of the Soviet Union. Evenkiyskiy is the name of Evenkiy Okrug, and it really does not mean anything by itself, unless it is used with the natsionalnyy okrug. Okrug can also be used in Russian to describe American counties, such as Ok...

Re: European Map Design

Well at least you got rid of the 20 territories with the "Skaya" or "skiy" ending. I'm sure they were not on the map. AS for your first map, about 4 out of 6 were incorrect. Now it's almost like my map. Good Job. http://harrisgamedesign.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=25365#p25365 Do you know that many ...

Re: European Map Design

but it is nevertheless often translated as "area", "zone", "province", or "region". 'Territory' works too. It looks strange printing on the map area, zone, or province. Region is possible, but English maps use Territory so well go with that. I don't have any maps that use these other terms. Well, t...

Global 1940 Modifications for Axis & Allies

This is a modification of Global 1940 for more historical accuracy and for more playability. I made Crimea separate from Ukraine because Crimea did not become a part of Ukraine until 1954 and the Crimea was a part of the Russian RSFSR (Russia). I added East Prussia because in the original game map, ...

Re: 3rd Edition?

Well, there is Doug Friend's Global 1939 game on Historical Board Gaming. It has Canada as a playable power. Would you like to see new molds for France, instead of seeing Soviet pieces painted blue? They could have a Dewoitine D 520 for the fighter piece. A Farman F. 222 for the strategic bomber pie...

1914 Axis & Allies game

Hey guys, I'm back after 5 years of being gone from the website. I saw the 1914 game board and from what I have seen of it, it only seems to have Europe, parts of Asia, and Africa on it. The game lacks the Far East and Japan. Japan played a role in World War I in the Far East against Tsingtao and th...

Re: Poland

IT would be a horrible sacrilege to omit Poland from this game and not have a challenge to fight back The game starts after they were defeated. You want a set of pieces for them so they can fight back? Just repaint some of your British and house rule it. (The 303 Squadron, named after the Polish-Am...
