First play

With 5 players, and I must say, the 'funnest' game I have played in a while.

The best part was 'contested' areas, did a nice job of trench warfare.

Larry, you did a superb job!!!!!!!

I just played spring 1942 with my son.

And did we have a blast.
I feel it plays well. We played 4 games,
Score

Son,.. 3
Me .....1

Really a lot of fun. I like the 2 hit battleships. we still were rusty on some of the rules, but it's now one of my favorites to play with him.

Well, thanks again got an enjoyable game!

In 2 more turns, he would have cleaned every Russian off the board.

Thanks for the answers...

Very interesting question

Well, my son trounced me again!!!! He played the Germans. Here is my unusual question. The Germans took Moscow, I got creamed. BUT.. The Russians had one bomber and a transport with 2 infantry within striking range of the German capital. So my last gasp was the German capital, which he left with 5 i...

I'll vote no on a swastika. As a kid, I put them on my soldiers, and tank models, no problem. But today, as I get older, the German cross is fine. (I'll add, the swastika is an American Indian symbol, I have it on an old 1920s painting. AND...my own realatives from Gemany settled here. We have one o...

Here's my thought. I started this www.avalonhillforum.com and to be quite frank, nobody visits. (well, very few) So I may end it when the domain runs out. But this is what I learned. Type in AVALON HILL FORUM in a search engine, and my website is like the third one on the list. So I picked the righ...

Keep it simple

I agree with you 100% about simplicity. Me too. Keep it simple. How about the railroads already in place. (drawn on the mapboard). You want to use it, ad 3( or whatever number of territories) to your movement. You want to interdict, place you plane on it. Could be a max of ten 'rail' trips per turn.
