Re: Have a Look at WAR ROOM

Rail rules are perfect; exactly what I've been pushing for all these years. I would suggest an option to play without the ability to break the pact before the fall of the relevant capital. I'd also suggest limiting co-operation between the Western and Eastern Allies, and between the Euro Axis and Ja...

Re: Have a Look at WAR ROOM

If the game ends in stalemate it's decided by a custard pie fight. Like a lot of the rules listed so far, but one concern I have is the old chestnut about capturing the capital as victory condition. If London had fallen would the entire British Empire have thrown down its weapons and surrendered? If...

Re: Have a Look at WAR ROOM

Strangely enough I was toying with the idea of writing an article elsewhere asking the question - "are minis dead?" in relation to Axis and Allies games. How many generals?

Just wondering if it was ever part of the game that the number of generals (and therefore ultimately legions) a player has to begin with depends on the number of players in total? The number of legions in the Imperial era tended to be set from about 25 to 30. 6 x 5 = 30 5 x 6 = 30 4 x 8 = 32 3 x 10 ...

Do we need a "Home" province?

Reading through the rules of "Classic" in the Eagle Games edition it states that all new units must be placed in the "Original Home Province". Yet it does not state what happens if you lose said province; can you not place new units until you recapture it? But in what amounts to a civil war game why...

Or maybe it was that $100 a bag dope you were smoking. Always wondered how you get your ideas for new games...
