Bidding? Can you do this?

So this is only for people who use a bid to determine who plays what side. My question is this. In using your bid, can you buy pieces that are normally not allowed to be purchased? My opponent took a 10 bid to be the Allies. He purchased one fighter for China. Thus he now started the game with 2 chi...

signed unopened box value

What does everyone think the value of a anniversary edition signed by Larry Harris, unopened (out of plastic wrap) game should be worth? Nothing inside the game has been touched, all still sealed and unpunched.

USSR At War?

When does USSR officially start war? I believe that at turn 4 they are at war. Does that mean at the start of everyone's turn? Or does that mean at the start of USSR turn 4? Because Germany goes first, they could collect the 5 IPC bonus for not being war on the start of turn 4. OR can USSR officiall...

Yet another sub question.

Here I go again. the allied player attacks Japan with 2 subs and 1 destroyer. Japan has 3 subs. The allied person rolls two dice for sneak attacks, Japan has no destroyer. He hits twice. Japan removes two subs without ever firing them. Destroyer misses. Correct? Or do all subs fire first, just not a...

IPC totals wrong in 1942 2ndE.

I have been told that the 1942 2nd edition actually has Germany ay 41 IPC's and UK at 31.

The set up cards say 40 and 30, but the nations total on the map is 41 germany and 31 UK.

Is this an Errata yet? Or is their more? Any truth, other fixes, than these?

I know Honolulu is a VC.
