Larry,

What would you think about adding more U.S. presence in the pacific with considerably more assets. This would force Japan and U.S. to deal with each other earlier in the game and make them less likely to jump into Germany and/or Russia at the onset. That will keep things interesting for the U. S. from the first round.

An example would be to beef up U.S. Navy in Hawaii and Midway and give them presence in the Phillipine Islands. Japan would have to deal with them on the first round.

Exactly what I did on my map by giving ALL Pacific islands including Australia to the US player. This is only reflecting the historical reality in which the US took over complete control of the Allied forces in this region by March 1942. Ref: South West Pacific Command

By the way, what IS that Rio de Oro territory on Nuclear's map meant to represent?

It should be a colony of Spain. Weird color choice however.

There is no such place, nor ever was.

The only thing anywhere close was "Western Sahara", but that was, well, the western part of the sahara, just below Morocco, not on the Guinea coast.

I don't like to boast, but quite frankly I could write a book about what's wrong with Nuke's map. where to begin...

Has this guy even LOOKED at a real map?

Rio de Oro, if it existed at all, IS Western Sahara
"The North Central"? "The South Midwest"?
Eastern Venezuela? Where's the rest of it?
Southern Libya is known as Fezzan
Zaire = Belgian Congo
French Madagascar - what other Madagascar is there?
Northern Rhodesia is where Tanganyika should be
Sinai is part of Egypt, not Jordan
UAE - didn't exist. This coastline is "Hasa", part of Saudi Arabia
The SW part of England can be referred to as "Wessex". It includes Gloucestershire, fact fans.
Northern Ireland doesn't have a land bridge with Scotland
Northern England is Northumbria
What is Bavaria doing in Hungary?
Japan isn't one long island, but has four main islands
Gerogia should be Caucasus
Caucasus should be Don
Bangkok is in Thailand, not Burma
S. Novosibirsk = NE Kazakhstan
Moscow should be where Minsk is.
Mein Gott! what HAS he done to Russia?
They moved the Kharkov FACTORIES to the Urals, not the CITY!
Ho Chi Minh City was known as Saigon before the Yanks did a runner (sorry, flyer).
Yunnan is south of Szechuan, not north of it
The East Indies refers to the whole region, including Borneo and New Guinea. Divide it into Sumatra and Java.

Sorry, couldn't resist that. :)

To be fair, he's made a pretty good stab at India. No Pakistan - the inclusion of which is usually a dead giveaway of someone who only bothers to consult a modern map.
