Building a web site.

I’m considering building (actually having built for me) a web site. I’d like your collective suggestions on how this should look. What it must have/ what it should avoid. I’m admittedly new to this planet and need your guidance

expanding on playing A&A games over the internet like PBEM and programs like MapView and ABattleMap:

I now think I have a good idea.. Sale this as a software... it could have all the A&A boards up to date.. and you could play them the same way you play the actual boardgame. You would have a special server for the game... just like with the RTS game. This way people pay for what they get anf get what they want and everyone is happy. I'm sure this software would be easy to create..(for a game programmer) at least easier then the RTS game was with all those grapics.
