Great Military Information Site

Eldar - Our Swede in Norway suggested that we make this site. GREAT IDEA. It's like having our own library. No chat - just the facts

While looking for a surplus manual, I came across this site, which is fantastic for information on military equipment, forces, hardware, and uses.

Definitely worth a visit, and they supply photocopies of manuals to you.

Four other good sites for World War Two information at as follows:

The Hyperwar site:

The Combined Arms Research Library Digital Library. which has a very large. 1800 plus, collection of downloadable PDF files covering World War 2, down to battalion histories.

The Center for Military History site has the entire US Army Official History series available for download, along with the more recent Commemorative booklets.

http://www.history.army.mil/html/booksh ... saww2.html

The US Marine Corps history division has large number of the official US Marine Corps histories available for download.

And for the Air Force, you should check out the Historical Studies Office and the Historical Research Agency. The Historical Research Agency has a considerable number of monographs written by the Germans for the US following the war as well.

The Combined Arms Research Library has a considerable amount of material covering World War One as well, and the General Military History and Obsolete Military Manuals collections are also worth looking at.
