Axis & Allies Revised by Avalon Hill. Released in 2004.

Origins Game Fair 2008, 2 Weeks Away!

Post by GSmorey » Tue Jun 10, 2008 9:19 pm

Greetings AA Gamers,

Well I can't believe that it is only 2 weeks away but Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio will be opening its gaming tables on June 25-29. This will be the eighth year I will be running events at Origins....

I will be running all the FTF AA tournaments again as usual. We will have a new Guadalcanal tourney that may already be sold out (at least that is what I am told?) and all the other great events including the Mega Revised Tournament.

So, if you have not yet said yes to the weekend, now is the time. You can go to my web site, The Smorey Swamp, for all the AA details and schedule of events...

I also want to thank Larry again for all the great work with the new game and the future games coming out. Thanks for all the great gaming fun you provide!

Origins is a prelude to GEN CON...so don't miss out on all the fun!

Peace,
Greg Smorey

I'm surprised. Not at Larry ignoring you. Which is a plus.

But for the use of "smoo".

is that some sort of expression of endearment? An insult? A terrorist code word?

Inquiring minds want to know??

Dear AA Gamers,

I apologize for getting these last minute tournament/open revisions to you this late but here they are nonetheless. The only one I can foresee changing at all before the CON will be the Guadalcanal tourney and that will only be based on any last minute clarifications that might arise.

As for the only other really big change is for the Mega Revised tournament. For all those planning on participating, there will be a small revision to the way in which the tournament will be played. We will NOT have 4 brackets of 4 teams this year. We will play 3 rounds of Swiss play were the top 8 will advance to the SE rounds instead of the old way of doing it. This might help cut down on the problems we had from last year. For a better description, check out the rules on the Swamp…

Other than that, only two weeks away. Look forward to seeing those that do plan on attending…

Peace,
