fighters are mathematically always better on attack and defense. but if you need range or have a few extra ipcs. and you need to do a large attack next turn then you would buy bombers. bombers are for the range and sbr and not anything else
I agree with the math. About the only thing i really see a use for bombers is SBR's. Its basically a rocket attack that you dont have to roll to get, except theres a small chance you lose your bomber. Id rather not roll for a tech, and have a chance at loosing a bomber than the other way around. I hate rolling for tech's. I feel like i'm waisting money every time i do unless i get it the first time which isnt often.
I like to have at least 4 FTR's for each country, even russia when i play them. There just so usefull in so many ways. They open up so many options that straight land troops dont give you. With the other countries i like to have my FTR's on ACC's preferably if i can afford them.
