Order of Play

We've talked about Advanced A&A... Now I'd like to hear your comments on what YOU envision a DELUXE A&A GAME to be. What would it look like.

I really like the new movement mechanics in Guadalcanal...

Perhaps break up the turn order in the five player game to avoid one player sitting twiddling thumbs whilst 4 other people move.

Either by phases...

All players collect income;
All player make combat moves in order
Resolve combat (perhaps as part of combat moves)
All make combat moves...

Or like Guadalcanal, all do air... sea, land.

The Guadalcanal rules are really enjoyable, especially the special orders tokens which would be fun to build at high IPC cost.

Although it might be too late, I strongly believe that all players on a side should move simultaneously. All the Allies purchase units, all the Allies make combat movements, etc.

yes sir i have been doing this and saying this for years. Downtime sucks.

besides most people play 1:1 so it would be easier even on them.
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.
