But a serious question about the reprinting: I have a retailer in my country (Netherlands) that says he can deliver Axis & Allies Europe 1940 within 2-3 weeks time and he got factory date 2012 on his site ... does this mean he already got the reprinted edition or isnst this possible?

If he's got them now, they're 1st edition.

Dude:
Europe 1940 details:
Deluxe version of Axis & Allies Europe originally released in 1999
Stand alone game that can also combine with A&A Pacific 1940
Two new combat units: tactical bombers and mechanized infantry.
New playable power: France.
Updated A&A rules as debuted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
Game board measures 35"w x 32"h. Designed to join with A&A Pacific 1940 board.
Over 550 game pieces plus new models for tactical bombers & mechanized infantry.
Somewhere it should say 2nd edition reprint but instead it just has the old text script of original E40. If a reprint was in the near future, somebody would find a order page PDF from WOTC to retailers/distributors.
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.

Ahw too bad i was hoping it was a leaked release date :D

Will the 2nd edition be releaed this year though? Hate to spend like 300 euros on an ebay version if 2 months later the game would come out :S

will there be also a 2nd edition of pacific 1940?
Or can I use the 1st edition of pacific 1940 and the 2nd edition of europe 1940 without any problems to have a global 1940?
