G42 Set-Up Rules for Alpha +3

Link up A&A Pacific 1940 and Europe 1940, and you've got Axis & Allies Global 1940.

Kreig, what is the correct turn order?

On page 1 (or 2) you state:

"The turn order is supposed to be Soviet Union, Japan, United States, China, United Kingdom, Italy, ANZAC, France, and Germany"

Yet you say the information in the link is correct whent hey have a different turn order. The link has Germany going 5th instead of 9th.

So do they go 5th, after China, or last after France?

Germany goes fifth. The linked information is current. The turn order has changed from what it was originally.

I can't believe I had to wade through so much complaining and whining to get the real scoop about a new scenario. Are we all not here to have fun? I don't get it. :?

THANK YOU Larry and Krieghund for bringing out another version to a game I already paid for. That is SWEET!!!

I also love the fact the game starts with everyone at war. A complaint I hear at every session we play G40 from either the US Player or Russian Player is "About time I get to roll some dice"

We will definitely try this out at our next session!

We gave this a try this weekend. It is nice to have a long and short version of the Global game. Awesome. Thanks a lot.

Haven't played this version since the turn order changed putting Germany 5th (g42 2nd edition updated April 2013). I just set-up the board and we plan to play tonight or tomorrow. I have a couple questions or clarifications Krieghund.

1) The two French coastal IC's were omitted from this set-up purposely (per LH)

2) Larry said in a post in another thread that the 2 German subs in sz7 needed to be looked at in this edition. Because of the turn order the US could kill them easily on US1, was this fixed?

some options to look at:
a) Split up German subs so the US can only kill one of them (maybe add a 3rd German sub).
b) Swap out the US destroyer in sz101 for a cruiser (maybe from sz 10) so it can't attack the German subs on US1.
c) Move the US destroyer (or subs) out of range, but that US naval base in sz10 gives them a long striking distance.

If there isn't an official stance on this yet that's cool. Just give me something to go with for the time being.

Thanks WB

1) Correct.

2) There's nothing official on this yet, but for the moment you can just move one of the subs to sea zone 103.
