Two more questions Larry ... 1) when playing with less than 6 players, do you only use that many powers, or do some players play multiple powers? and 2) how long does a standard turn take for an individual power? Thanks!

CanucKev – how ya doing? You only use that many powers. Turn length …. Well that depends on if there is combat or not. I’d say between 5 and 15 minutes. Seldom more than that.

i wonder why no sneak preview as in many games with eagle

the one thing i really like originally from eagle, (before they moved to the seedy side of gaming...mobs, booze & poker) was the snapshot previews of coming games, BEFORE they were available to the general masses...

...maybe thats a thing of the past...

Could be or they are running a little behind schedule. I don't think the game will be till May.

Hey Larry, I'm doing well. But I keep coming up with questions :) Is it the same setup to start every game, as with A&A?

I like the idea of only playing as many factions as there are players ... turn length seems to be good, too. I'm getting more and more excited about this game ... it's becoming very tempting to invest in ... now to make sure others would play it with me :?

CanucKev – don’t buy it… Wait for the movie to come out.
It is the same setup each game but so is Monopoly and Chess.

Elbow – I understand you question and what you’re trying to figure out.
The playing pieces are “chunkier” more historical and about 20 to 30% larger.
I did not get spanked. It’s me who gives the spankings.

What catches my eye the most? Probably the size of the map. Huge in comparison.
The money (coins) was neat too. All in all – a great look and feel.

As you may or may not realize, there are two game systems in one box (two very different ways of playing the game). The original system with a modified and improved combat system and a totally new system created by Glenn and his group. Both games are very different. It’s hard to say one is better than the other. They are different. I would say that the G- system is more “diplomatic” in nature.
